Following the success of Buscant el meu propi nom we are very eager to create, independently and working again with people with mental suffering, the series Nueve Nombres , inspired by the stories of the 9 women in the book by María Huertas.
At Doble Banda Productions, we have acquired the rights to the book Nine Names (Editorial Temporal) and are currently developing a fictional series based on it. We are very excited to create the series with the same freedom and care that we applied to Searching for My Own Name. We also want to work again with actors and actresses who experience mental health challenges, as well as maintain the wonderful connection we have forged with organizations such as AFARADEM, FEDERACIÓ DE SALUT MENTAL CV, AEN CV, ACOVA, and ASIEM. We are also thrilled to continue our relationship with the people at Radio Nikosia, Radio Malva, and Radio Clara, who have given us a platform to promote Searching for My Own Name on some of their programs. We want to create a high-quality series that doesn't succumb to market trends, that stands the test of time, and that resonates deeply. May it maintain the sensitivity that María Huertas proposes in her book and remain true to the people who have supported us. And may we, in doing so, remember those who were confined in the Jesús psychiatric hospital, the Santa Cruz Mental Institute in Barcelona, and so many other centers during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. And may we also remember those professionals who, through listening to and caring for others, laid the foundations of public health in our country.

Review
"Pablo García Pérez de Lara's latest film is based on a true story, which took place in the final years of the Franco regime, to talk about what we call 'madness,' what it means, and how we confront it. It does so by avoiding all clichés and focusing on faces and bodies, then asking itself how to film them. A revolutionary film in its delicate and tender approach to this still largely unexplored subject."

We want to continue enriching this website and continue creating cinematic works about mental health in which actors and actresses with mental suffering participate.

Nine names, the serie.
Fiction series inspired by the book Nine Names (Ed.Temporal) by María Huertas Zarco.
We are aware that this is a very ambitious project, but that doesn't stop us; on the contrary, we are very eager to create it, working with actors and actresses with mental suffering and with the creative freedom that we were able to achieve in Buscant el meu propi nom.
